1995 ACURA NSX – PAINT CORRECTION & CUSTOM PPF APPLICATION
We had the honor of working on a **1995 Acura NSX**, a legendary handmade Japanese supercar that has become a highly sought-after collector’s piece. With its 30-YEAR-OLD SINGLE-STAGE PAINT, this project required exceptional care, technical skill, and patience to both restore and preserve the finish.
STEP 1: PAINT CORRECTION ON DELICATE SINGLE-STAGE PAINT
Unlike modern vehicles with protective clear coat layers, single-stage paint is directly exposed and far more sensitive to polishing. Our team performed a MULTI-STAGE PAINT CORRECTION, carefully removing years of oxidation, swirl marks, and fine scratches while preserving as much of the original finish as possible. This process brought back the deep gloss and vibrancy of the factory paint, restoring the NSX’s timeless character.
STEP 2: HAND-LAID & PRECISION-CUT PAINT PROTECTION FILM
To safeguard the corrected finish, we installed PAINT PROTECTION FILM (PPF). Rather than relying solely on pre-cut, computer-generated patterns—which often leave visible seams and gaps—we used a CUSTOM HAND-LAID AND CUT METHOD. This advanced technique allowed us to:
* TUCK FILM DEEP INTO PANEL EDGES AND SEAMS for a seamless, OEM-quality look.
* MAXIMIZE SURFACE AREA COVERAGE, leaving no exposed paint vulnerable to chips or scratches.
* ELIMINATE UNNECESSARY SEAMS, ensuring the film blends flawlessly with the vehicle’s bodylines.
WHY IT MATTERS ON A CLASSIC CAR
Applying PPF to a 30-YEAR-OLD SINGLE-STAGE PAINT JOB IS SIGNIFICANTLY MORE CHALLENGING THAN WORKING ON A MODERN CLEAR-COATED FINISH. THE MARGIN FOR ERROR IS SLIM, AND THE PROCESS DEMANDS BOTH EXPERIENCE AND PRECISION. OUR TEAM’s 20+ years of expertise in automotive customization made it possible to protect this rare NSX without compromising its originality.
THE RESULT
The finished project delivered a REFINED, SEAMLESS MATTE-LIKE CLARITY with the peace of mind that the NSX’s rare, original paint is now protected against future damage. The client received not just a cosmetic upgrade, but an investment in the LONG-TERM PRESERVATION OF AN IRREPLACEABLE CLASSIC
